Basic Medical Sciences & Biology

Hello, I’m Dr. Chiamaka, a medical doctor and passionate science educator with over 5 years of teaching experience. I teach medical students in basic medical sciences. I also teach Biology and Basic Science to primary and secondary school students. What makes my teaching different is that I don’t believe students should have to memorize pages of information they don’t understand. I help students understand the “why” behind what they are learning, break difficult concepts into simple ideas, connect lessons to real-life examples which helps in memorization and build the confidence to answer questions independently As a medical doctor, I have spent years learning and applying the very sciences I teach. I know what it feels like to encounter a complicated concept for the first time, and I know how to break it down until it becomes something you can actually understand and remember. Whether you are a struggling medical student or your child is struggling with Biology, preparing for an examination, or simply wants to move from being an average student to an excellent one, my goal is the same: Not just to help you pass, but to help you genuinely understand.

My teaching is highly adaptable. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. During my lessons, I: * Break complex concepts into simple, understandable steps * Use relatable examples and everyday experiences to explain difficult topics * Connect different topics so students understand the bigger picture * Solve practice questions to test understanding and enhance clinical reasoning * give diverse clinical applications of basic medical science concepts For medical and health science students, I take a more detailed approach to enhance clinical reasoning in Medical Biochemistry, Physiology and Microbiology, helping students understand the mechanisms behind what they are learning rather than relying entirely on memorisation particularly for MBBS examinations and other professional examination. For secondary school students, I combine strong conceptual understanding with examination technique, particularly for students preparing for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, GCE, IGCSE or other school and entrance examinations. Part of my job is to help build confidence and “I can do this” mindset. This change can make a remarkable difference in academic performance. Why Learn With Me?
