Is it free to join Konetuto?

Yes. Creating an account is free. You only pay when you book a lesson, and you see the price before you pay.

Should I create the account or should my child?

Parents and guardians should create the account and add their learners. Older students can create their own student account. If you’re unsure, start as a parent: you can add learners later.

How do I find the right tutor?

Search by subject, curriculum and level, then compare tutor profiles: teaching approach, experience, verification, reviews and availability. If you’d rather we suggest someone, request a match.

Which curricula and exams do tutors cover?

Nigerian curricula and exams including WAEC, NECO and JAMB, plus IGCSE, A-Level, IB and SAT. Each tutor’s profile lists the curricula they teach.

How do I book a lesson?

Open a tutor’s profile, choose a time from their availability, pick the learner and topic, review the details and pay. The lesson appears on your dashboard straight away.

What time zone are lesson times in?

Times are shown in your own time zone when you book, and the tutor sees them in theirs. Check the time zone shown on the booking summary before you pay.

How do we join an online lesson?

Use the Join lesson button on your dashboard. It becomes active shortly before the lesson starts and opens Google Meet. A laptop or tablet with a working microphone and camera works best.

Can I reschedule or cancel a lesson?

Yes, within the terms shown on your booking. Unless the booking says otherwise, you can cancel for free up to 24 hours before a lesson and reschedule once up to 12 hours before.

What happens if the tutor misses the lesson?

Tell us from the lesson page. You can choose a full refund or a free replacement lesson.

How do I pay?

Payments are made securely through Paystack by card, bank transfer or other methods available in your country. Konetuto never sees your full card number.

When is my booking confirmed?

As soon as your payment succeeds. If a payment fails, the time slot is released and you’re not charged.

How do refunds work?

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, it can take several working days to appear.

Can I pay the tutor directly?

No. All lessons found on Konetuto must be paid through Konetuto. Paying directly removes our refund and safety protections.

What’s in a lesson report?

What was covered, what the learner understood, areas that need work, any homework, and the plan for the next lesson, with a short summary for parents.

How is topic mastery worked out?

It combines evidence from assessments, homework, lessons and tutor observations for each topic, then labels it strong, developing or needs attention, with a suggested next step.

Can I see reports for more than one child?

Yes. Parents can add several learners to one account and switch between them.

How do I apply to teach?

Create an account as a tutor, complete your profile and submit your verification documents. Your profile goes live only after the checks are complete.

When do I get paid?

Earnings from completed lessons become available after the lesson and its report are complete, and you can withdraw them to your bank account. Your earnings page shows what’s available and what’s pending.

Can I use Google Classroom?

Yes, optionally. You can connect Google Classroom from your settings to publish homework and resources. Konetuto keeps its own record either way.

Use Forgot your password on the sign-in page. We’ll email you a link that works for 60 minutes.

I didn’t receive the verification email.

Check your spam folder, then use Send a new link on the verification page. Make sure the email address on your account is correct.

How do I close my account?

Contact support from your account email and we’ll close it. Lessons you’ve already paid for are handled under our refund terms.

How do you keep children safe?

Tutors are checked before teaching, parents can see their learners’ lessons and messages, tutors only see learners they teach, and anyone can report a concern. Read our safeguarding approach for details.

How do I report a concern?

Use Report a concern on the lesson or message, or contact support. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
