Chemistry and Biology Tutor for Grade 10 - 12 students, Grade 1-9 Mathematics. Exam Preparation.

I am Teacher Debbie, a Biochemistry graduate, PGDE-trained educator, and passionate Science tutor with over four years of teaching experience. I teach Chemistry, Biology and Basic/Integrated Science, working with secondary school students and learners from different backgrounds, including Nigerian and international students. I understand that Science can sometimes feel difficult, confusing or too abstract, especially when students are expected to memorise concepts they do not truly understand. My role is to change that experience. I break complex topics into simple, clear and manageable steps, using real-life examples, analogies, visuals, guided practice and questions that encourage students to think for themselves. I adjust my teaching pace and approach according to each student's level, strengths and areas of difficulty. Whether your child is struggling with a topic, preparing for an examination, or simply wants to become stronger and more confident in Science, my goal is to help them develop the understanding, confidence, problem-solving skills and independent learning habits they need to succeed.

My lessons are student-centred, interactive and structured around understanding. I begin by identifying what the student already understands and where they need support. I then build the lesson from that point, breaking difficult concepts into manageable steps. Students can expect: • Clear, simplified explanations of difficult concepts • Real-life examples and analogies that make Science relatable • Step-by-step guidance for calculations and problem-solving • Interactive lessons where students participate and ask questions • Exam preparation using relevant past questions and practice. I also believe that struggling with a subject does not mean a student is incapable. Sometimes, they simply need the right explanation, patience and support.
