Konetuto: learn better, connect smarter

Konetuto is an online tutoring and learning platform for students, university undergraduates, parents and tutors. It brings the whole learning journey into one place: finding the right tutor, booking and paying, learning live, getting a written report after every lesson, and seeing what has improved over time.

We started in Nigeria and support learners on Nigerian, UK, US and Canadian curricula: primary and Common Entrance, WAEC, NECO, JAMB, IGCSE, A-Level, IB, SAT and university courses from 100L to final year. Our promise is simple: learn better, connect smarter.

How Konetuto works in five steps

  1. Find a tutor, or get matched. Search verified tutors by subject, exam, level, location and budget. Not sure who to choose? Request a match and a learning advisor will email you up to three suggestions, free and with no obligation.
  2. Book a lesson or a plan. Book one lesson, or pay once for a 7, 14, 21 or 30-day plan of regular lessons. Many tutors offer a free first lesson, and some discount longer plans.
  3. Learn live. Lessons run on Google Meet. The Join live class button opens 10 minutes before the start.
  4. Get a report after every lesson. The tutor writes what was covered, how it went, the homework and what comes next.
  5. Follow progress. The Progress page shows which topics are mastered and which need attention, based on lesson reports, tests, homework and practice.

For students

Students get live lessons with a verified tutor, plus tools to keep learning between lessons:

  • Tutor-Ai, an AI tutor that explains topics, draws graphs, diagrams and simulations, and checks maths step by step. You can type, speak or send a photo.
  • Homework help: snap a photo of your homework and Tutor-Ai coaches you through it step by step, instead of handing over the answer.
  • Practice questions by subject, topic and level, with the right answer and why after each one.
  • Flashcards built from your mistakes and lessons, brought back at spaced intervals so they stick.
  • Timed tests (CBT) like the real exam, with your score and the answers.
  • Lesson builder: upload notes, a chapter or a past paper and get a lesson with worked examples and a quiz.
  • Downloads for reading lessons offline when data is low, and streaks and badges that reward steady study.

For undergraduates

University, polytechnic, college and nursing students join as undergraduates and choose their institution, faculty and course, so tutors, practice and Tutor-Ai fit their degree. Book one-to-one help on your exact course, turn lecture notes into study lessons with the Lesson builder, and take timed mock exams before the real thing.

For parents

One parent account covers every child, with separate reports and progress for each:

  • Add each child under Learners, with their class and exams, so tutors know them before the first lesson.
  • Read the lesson report after every lesson, and see all your children’s lessons and homework on one weekly Timetable.
  • Get a weekly roundup on Sunday by WhatsApp, push or email, and a monthly progress report as a PDF on the 1st.
  • Set a weekly study goal, and lock Tutor-Ai’s guided mode on so it teaches rather than gives answers.

For tutors

Tutors run their teaching on Konetuto and get paid without chasing fees:

  • Get verified, then publish ads for the subjects and levels you teach, and set your weekly availability.
  • Connect Google and each lesson gets its own Google Meet link automatically.
  • Set assignments, build timed CBT tests from your own question bank, and link Google Classroom.
  • Families pay before the lesson. Your earning is released once you submit the lesson report, and withdrawals reach your bank within 2 working days.
  • Track lessons, earnings and returning families in Analytics, and write for this blog: your posts link to your profile so families who like your advice can book you.

Safety and trust

  • Verified tutors: identity and qualifications are checked before a tutor can be booked. See how verification works.
  • Fair cancellation: cancel free up to 24 hours before a lesson, or move it once up to 12 hours before.
  • If the tutor doesn’t come: if they aren’t in the lesson 10 minutes in, choose a free new time or a refund.
  • Safe messaging: phone numbers, emails and outside links are blocked in Messages, so bookings and payments stay protected.
  • Verifiable documents: every receipt, invoice and statement has a QR code you can check at konetuto.com/verify.
  • AI safety for children: Tutor-Ai screens messages, refuses harmful requests and alerts our team to risks.
